Tasmania Tour Day 6 (03/05/2011)

I tried to get up as quiet as possible to make sure I don’t wake my roommates up, but two of them were up already anyway. I was waiting for the driver who was too late but he had a good excuse (besides being pretty handsome) because it was his birthday and he said he had to blow out some candles (judging by his fat smile I am guessing his girlfriend blow something as well).
On the way to Cockle Creek we stopped at an apple stall which operated a honesty pay system. The most juicy apples I’ve ever ate.

We got on our way to the Cockle creek, the most south point you could go to on Tasmania, amazing views and a good but very rocky walking tour. Besides that not a lot around the area. Of course the tour guide had to take a quick swim in the ocean. I will upload the video when I have some more access to the internet :)

Next we were off to the Harvesting Caves. It is sometimes unbelievable what nature can produce during 2 million years. Judge for yourself:

Next to the caves the thermal springs could be found. Of course I had to try it out, but the pictures of that are not for the public eye ;) The water was warm-ish, the hot shower afterwards was so much better. And just that you get the right impression, the sun doesn’t change the fact that it still was quite chilly, only the constant walking kept me warm.

Tomorrow another tour is on the agenda which means getting up again very early. Luckily all the girls now in my room have booked the same tour so we kind of have to get up at the same time.
As usual, to be continued…..
