Last night wasn’t really pleasant as I woke up constantly. My back was hurting and I was really thirsty and my throat was itching. UHHHH I hoped I didn’t catch the flu….well a little bit later and a cuppa tea I was feeling fine and ready for another exciting day :)
We first started with a visit to the Waldheim Chalet, which was the first Building ever built on the Mount Cradle, and a really nice little walk around the area. We were again unlucky that the area was covered in fog and you barely could see the amazing view.
We stopped at the Rosberry Mining Village for Lunch. Such a small city and the lunch wasn’t really my dream of a good and decent meal, so I took a sandwich with me for the way as well as some cereal bars. I can tell you that walking around is exhausting….hill up and down and up and down again….
Next we stopped at the Henty Sand Dunes for some fun and another amazing view. Walking up the sand was rather exhausting but so worth it. I could have spent hours sitting in the sun and just look at the ocean and mountains. The blue sky, the air, the green grass and the smell made this now my good place. The place I am going back to whenever I feel down, my happy place.
Someone of the group recorded a video of me sliding down the dunes on a board, but somehow we missed to exchange it. So I just will uploaded his instead, I am sure he wouldn’t mind. (Link to follow)
We arrived in Strahan and some of the group booked a flight over the area. I gave it a miss this time…maybe next time again. The rest of the group headed to the Ocean beach, so amazing. And that was the point when my battery died :( I saw the most beautiful sunset with mountains in the background. I know that some of the group wanted to upload their picture somewhere, but I have to wait for the email where to find it….
When we arrived at the accommodation a barbeque was awaiting us. AWESOME. After a quick shower and recharging my battery I was ready to fill up my tummy. After all the walking that was very much needed. OF COURSE we watched the royal wedding, well me just partly. I honestly have to say that Kate’s sister was much hotter and the kiss pretty weak. Curious what the newspaper will say tomorrow.
I headed to bed quiet early as we have to get up at 6 am (gosh and I wanted holidays….)
